I was lucky enough to be invited to a wonderful Scarlet Pimpernel Dinner hosted by the amazing
Jenny La Fleur. I wanted a new dress for the occasion so I took the opportunity to use some sumptuous raspberry and pink striped silk taffeta that I bought on sale a couple of years ago as well as white duchesse silk satin to make an early 1790s Robe a l'Anglaise. It was the most delicious fabric combination!

After the Pimpernel Dinner I took my dress out to my alma mater, UNC Chapel Hill, and photographed it at the beautiful historic
